The Scriptorium

This museum is a factual library/research center, that houses priceless collections of many artifacts from different ethnic backgrounds and denominations such as the priceless Van Kampen Collection consisting of several thousand manuscripts, scrolls, and other religious artifacts. The collection is augmented by secondary resources, including the personal library of Eberhard Nestle, a leading 19th century biblical scholar and co-translator of the Greek Nestle/Aland New Testament text.

The walk-through experience of The Scriptorium transports visitors to various historical and geographical areas of the world. Every room you enter explains what each antiquity is. Since they are originals, all works are encased behind glass to make the sure the authenticity and the originality of these artifacts remain intact. On this 55-minute tour, we display biblical documents and where they originated as well as give guests a dramatic understanding of the history of the Bible, its parallel to the history of civilization, and its impact upon the world. Additionally, specially featured items are on display in our rotating-exhibit room, located within The Scriptorium's Ex Libris bookstore.
